The EMSCULPT and the EMSCULPT NEO are two of the latest additions to our cutting edge body contouring devices. We're going to touch on what they do, what the differences are between the two devices and who the best candidates are for either one.
Both devices build muscle and reduce fat. Both Emsculpt devices use patented high FEM energy to cause the muscle to contract at a frequency and intensity that's not possible to achieve through exercise alone. These are supramaximal contractions that stimulate not only existing muscle fibers, but also cause new muscle fibers to grow, which results in greater muscle volume, greater strength and increased muscle tone.
The EMSCULPT NEO uses the high FEM energy at a higher rate and a different contraction pattern than the original Emsculpt device. While the Emsculpt contractions follow a defined and fairly predictable protocol, the new pattern is irregular, which tricks the muscle into higher intensity and makes it difficult for the patient to expect what kind of contraction comes next. The newest technology in the EMSCULPT NEO is synchronized radiofrequency heating.
This is delivered simultaneously to the high FEM and causes an increase in fat reduction as well as muscle stimulation. Radiofrequency heating during high FEM muscle contractions increases the activation of proteins, stimulating muscle synthesis and enhancing the hypertrophic effect. The radiofrequency technology and the EMSCULPT NEO has the highest thermal effect on the market, heating the underlying muscle tissues up to 43 degrees in just a few minutes. Radiofrequency heating also contributes to increased fat burning. Radiofrequency heating of the fat tissues damages the cells and causes the body to eliminate them permanently over time.
This combination of lipolytic and a pop-tonic processes leads to enhanced permanent elimination of fat cells while supporting increased metabolic activity due to high FEM contractions. Clinical studies show an average of a 30% reduction in fat and a 25% increase in muscle after four 30-minute sessions. With that said, we always want to make sure that we're aligning expectations with potential outcomes.
Everyone will get a slightly different result with any of the treatments that we perform in aesthetic medicine, and Emsculpt and EMSCULPT NEO are no different. That makes the importance of a pretreatment consultation where we make sure that we get aligned and what we're thinking so that people aren't surprised by their results. We want them to be excited about their results.
That's what we're going to do for you. We're going to have a thorough consultation, talk about what you hope the outcome to be, and then match you up with the right device and the right number of sessions along with the right expectations.
If you're interested in Emsculpt, we can assist you in deciding if you're a good candidate, and then make sure we get the right device to help you look and feel your best.
