Fullerton Train Museum

If you are looking for a unique family outing, try taking a trip to the Fullerton Train Museum. This non-profit museum presents the history of passenger rail travel in Southern California. The museum has four different styles of cabooses, including one that is historically significant and is now a mobile office. The museum also houses a 1951 Santa Fe streamlined sleeping car. The first and third Saturday of each month is open to the public. The museum is located at 200 E Santa Fe Ave, Fullerton, CA 92832.

The museum is operated by the nonprofit Southern California Railway Plaza Association, which also operates the railroad days in Fullerton. The museum includes three cabooses and two 1940s Union Pacific lounge cars that are furnished in period-appropriate decor. Admission is free on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The museum hosts an annual Railroad Days event, which showcases a wide variety of railroad equipment, model railroad layouts, and train-related attractions.
